Yes, absolutely. We have now been trading for over 6 years throughout Italy, The Netherlands, Latvia, and the UK without a single call back and can provide testimonials to that effect. We are happy to share our testimonials to support our success.
This is a very common question. Basically, once the mould is removed you may see black staining on the surface, this is not the mould, it is discolouration caused by the mould. The mould thrives especially well on cellulose-based surfaces such as wood, wallpaper and drywall/plasterboards. It secretes an enzyme which breaks down the cellulose. The mould then produces a dark pigment called melanin to protect itself against stressors such as UV radiation, and it is this that stains the surface. Also, when the mould is removed completely you may still have staining to the surface, especially ones that are cellulose based. We would suggest painting over the stain with our Pathogon Mould Away Anti-Mould Paint, but if this is not possible, you could try mixing a little white vinegar with baking soda to form a thick paste. Simply rub or scrub it into the surface and leave it for an hour or so, then remove with a damp cloth before reapplying our Stage Two Mould Treatment. For really stubborn stains, you might need to leave it on longer or use more applications. Be careful to try it on a small area first as it may also affect other surface colours or finishes. On wooden items, sometimes the mould can be up to a centimetre deep into the surface.
Yes, it is fine to paint over the top of the products once they have dried completely, but, for best results we would advise using our excellent Mould Away class 2 scrubbable anti-mould paints which are suitable for kitchens and bathrooms.
